I found a perfect shelf today and the price was right, but I didn't get anything done on the house. Instead we took the afternoon off and went swimming and did a bit of shopping. This was necessary as we (my daughter and I) are still a bit upset about the test and the fall and we really thought, after my final radiation this summer, I'd be done with cancer and I could finally don my badge: a ribbon I got 2 years ago at a Terry Fox Marathon that reads "survivor."

Right now I am at my local library. We (my daughter and I) just finished a seminar on blogging and Internet safety. It was very informative and I think I learned some useful information.

Today I decided to finish redoing my daughter's bedroom for her birthday. I was reading today about it, and learned that allowing her to make her own choices and decisions is a good idea, especially since she will be becoming a teen soon. She'll have to stick to a shoestring budget of course, but I think we can do lots with a little. Originally when we moved into our condo, her favorite colour was blue, so she has blue walls, carpet and comforter. Now, however, her colour is purple; so some changes are necessary. It will be interesting to see what she comes up with. I can't wait.
